Tooth Extractions

Some situations may require the removal of one or more of your child’s teeth. For example, traumatic injury to a tooth, an extremely large cavity that can no longer be fixed, an infection or an abscess, and an over-retained baby tooth after the adult tooth has already come in are all possible reasons why Dr. Jean would recommend a baby tooth extraction.

Dr. Jean uses kid-friendly language to ease anxious and nervous patients during treatment. She uses non-threatening and child appropriate words such as “ice-cream air”, “sleepy jelly”, and “wiggling” to facilitate a positive and fun experience at the dentist. Every baby tooth that gets “wiggled” is put into a tooth-shaped container to take home to the tooth fairy.
